about
My art is very personal, often spontaneous and constantly evolving. I am drawn to the unique physical and chemical properties of glass, its translucence, interplay with light, and reactions to immense heat. I use a variety of complex, multi-phase techniques to show off its versatility and hidden dimensions. Every piece is fired 2 to 4 times in a special kiln at temperatures of up to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit. Additional refining methods such as grinding, beveling, sandblasting and polishing complete the creative process. My compositions are one-of-kind and made from the highest quality materials at my studio in Rhinebeck, NY.
